The latterday saints love and respect you

No offense to those involved. I liked that two versions of mormonism had an interest in a historical site and didnt go to war over it. The fact that they could share a love for it... made it an example to other religions. Perhaps the dome of the rock could have been more shared by jews and muslims. Now... there is no example. Deal with the hard reality

I enjoy the singing more with a strong vocal to match the instrumental. I can’t carry a tune & often don’t have a hymnal with me when joining this beautiful reminder of one of our focal points as a group 🎉

My GGGGrandfather Jacob Scott and his family joined the Church in Canada, they moved to Far West then to Nauvoo. My GGGrandfather, John Scott was a captain in the Nauvoo Legion and a bodyguard to the Prophet. John was one of those who retrieved the Prophets body. John learned of polygamy from Joseph and eventually took 4 additional wives and followed Brigham to Utah. The rest of the family aligned with Emma and became members of the Reorganized Church.

Thank you for the memories of 1984❤ I was a delegate to that conference. As I watched today, it also brought back many years of that conference and how that changed my life. Priesthood 1986 Camp Quality 1987 and how God led me through the challenges and success in each. I Can't hardly wait for tonight's zoom of women in the Priesthood. Thank you for sharing our history with it's challenges and success. Peace to all 🕊🕊🕊

Beautiful message. I continue to be gutted by the sale of Kirkland Temple to an entity that doesnt even acknowledge our existence. The secrecy of the sale mirrored the way the lds church operates not Community of Christ. May God have mercy on what purports to be His church.

Dear Elder Mackay, I was privileged to enjoy your tour of the Kirtland Temple twice, a decade apart. Truly loved your tour, and the heart and love that you have for the Temple and its history. I am LDS, but I feel sorrow for the loss of the Temple to your faith community. I have family connections to the building myself, as a descendant of John and Luke Johnson, the former who was involved financially (and more) with the Temple. All best wishes to you and all of my faith cousins of the Community of Christ.

This temple was basicly just a special meeting house And not like the temples that Came later no pagan practices Were carried out in this one Like later temples when Joseph smith become involved In the masons

Went to Kirtland High School in the early 70’s and always admired the outside of the building, but of course was not allowed inside. Via second and third hand information, it seemed like a turbulent time for that community in Kirtland. Also heard a few stories about that community when Smith was there and during a restoration in (I think) the 60’s
